Columbia & Cook Phase V Sanitary Sewer Project
The project involves extending sanitary sewer services to Olmsted Township Cook Road residents. Certified letter sent to affected residents October 2018. Follow up meeting to be announced. Cook-Fitch Sidewalk Project
Bid awarded to C.A. Agresta. The sidewalk project construction began October 8, 2018. and was completed at the end of November 2018. Project connected Olmsted Township to North Olmsted. Punch list items will be completed to finish in late spring – wires, sidewalks, berms, treelawns, ditches
SR 252 (Columbia Road) Ohio Department of Transportation
Two lane resurfacing is set to begin April 1, 2019 until May 1, 2019. The resurfacing will be on SR 252 (Columbia Road) between Cook and Butternut Ridge Roads. Work will take place Monday through Friday during the week from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. The road WILL NOT be closed. Road flaggers will be maintaining traffic. Chagrin Valley Paving is the contractor for this project.
ADA Curb Replacement Project
Cuyahoga County Council awarded $150,000 Community Development Block Grant for curb replacement approved on July 10, 2018. Bid awarded to DL Smith. Project complete. 68 ADA ramps installed. 100% to be reimbursed by grant. Project complete.
Schady Road Culvert
Weight limit signage has been posted on the Schady Road (County Road) culvert between Falls Pointe Dr. and Lakeview Dr. due to a deteriorating culvert pipe. What does this mean for the average vehicle? The average car or SUV weighs between three and five thousand pounds, which would make safe travel over the culvert. Examples of vehicles that would possibly be affected would be: Class A and Class B vehicles (buses, dump trucks, tractor trailer) . The culvert is on the fast track to be replaced through Cuyahoga County Public Works. Schedule and timeline are yet to be determined.
The Township, Cuyahoga County Public Works, the Ohio Turnpike and other pubic agencies have been working on traffic studies and signalization at major intersections throughout the township. This study includes: Monitoring traffic patterns and signalization; Counting vehicles per day; Analyzing growth patterns in and around the township.

Township Employee Sexual Harassment and Drug-Free Training
Annually, Township employees receive drug-free training to help keep not only our workplace, but also our community, a safer place. Employees are educated on the use of illicit drugs, the misuse of prescription drugs, and how to identify the signs of a person under the influence. Photos
County and Township Road Improvements
Our Township completed a Capital Improvement Plan and rating. A maintenance of effort plan is completed, as well as a Facilities Plan.
Property Demolition Fund
The Cuyahoga County Property Demolition fund review committee recommends awarding $175,000 to Olmsted Township for its Round 8 Cuyahoga County Property Demolition Fund application. Board of Trustees approved available funds October 22, 2018.
Strategic Comprehensive Plan
Our first presentation of the State of the Township was held April 20th, 2018. State of the Township was presented to the Olmsted Chamber of Commerce at the Fire Station on May 30, 2018 at 8:00am. Residents were invited to attend the Trustee Meeting on June 13th for updates on the Comprehensive Plan along with the presentation of the State of the Township. Completed Fall 2018
Land Development Projects
Gates Village Phase 1 of home construction is complete. County Planning has tabled the approval of Phase II until the May County Planning meeting. Site Map
Belmont Currently in County planning for pre-plat approval. Proposed to have 64 home sites. Site Map
Schady Reserve Currently there are 42 homes completed in Phase I & II. Phase III home building is complete, and all homes are occupied. Exterior concrete and final grades on some sublots need to be finished. Phase IV has been approved by County Planning. Home builds have started.
Pembrooke 3 homes are built and have occupancy permits. Remaining lots are being sold.
Galway Bay Home building is continuing. Lots still available.
Grand Oaks 4 new homes are under construction. Lots still available.
The Sanctuary/Preserves (John Rd.) Developer is going in front of Olmsted Township Zoning Board for minor modifications to plans. Number of lots will decrease and lot sizes will increase in some areas. No other changes.
Olmsted Falls High School Renovation Project interior construction is complete. They have some punch list items to do. Exterior work is being completed now that weather is permitting.
Renaissance Nursing Facility Phase I of IV Phases is in design stage for new swimming room and locker area. Also new expansion of Bistro area.
Razzles In plan approval for new indoor volleyball courts.
